QuSecure and Accenture Demonstrate Multi-Satellite PQC Communications

QuSecure/Accenture PQC Satellite Communication Configuration Diagram

QuSecure And Accenture has demonstrated space-based quantum-resistant post-quantum cryptography (PQC) using Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) and Geosynchronous Equatorial Orbit (GEO) satellite networks using QuSecure satellites QuProtect software based PQC solution. What is interesting about this demonstration is that a transmission is first sent to a LEO satellite from a ground station and then transferred to a GEO satellite for subsequent transmission to other earth stations. No special software or hardware is required for the satellite as all encryption and decryption activities occur at the ground station so the satellite only handles encrypted classical data. This system also includes a redundant feature because transmission can be carried out in several satellite orbits in the event of failure or threat to one of the satellites in one orbit. Additional information about this test is available in a press release provided by QuSecure which can be accessed Here.
