Backed by igus, RBTX continues to expand its international offerings, making Low Cost Automation accessible in an additional ten countries

February 16, 2023 – igus®, the global leader in mobile plastics, is expanding its range of Low-Cost Automation solutions, reflecting the company’s determination to lower barriers in entering the era of automation.

The robotics market helps interested parties find the right automation solutions for their individual applications easily, quickly and cost-effectively. RBTX.com has been part of this effort since 2019. Previously, RBTX was available in eight countries. Now igus is expanding its reach and launching the robotics market in an additional ten countries – with three more to follow soon.

To ensure competitiveness, more and more companies are automating their processes. However, investment costs are usually high, and a lack of expertise is often a problem – especially for small and medium-sized companies. This is where RBTX, powered by igus, comes into play. The offer includes online marketplaces for cost-effectiveness robotic components and complete solutions, RBTXpert remote integration services, and customer test areas at locations around the world, where planned customer applications can be tested live before purchase.

“Our RBTX online market has grown significantly in the last year,” says Alexander Mühlens, Head of the Automation Technology and Robotics Business Unit at igus. “We started in Germany in 2019. As our offers were well received and demand continued to grow, we expanded RBTX to Austria, France, UK, US, Canada, India and Singapore in recent years. We are still working to be active in other countries to make Low Cost Automation more accessible worldwide. That’s why, starting soon, we are offering RBTX in ten more countries: Poland, Switzerland, Denmark, Italy, Japan, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Vietnam and Thailand. Three more will follow soon: Spain, Brazil and Türkiye.”

Praline dispensing machines, plant cultivation systems or bulk goods sorting: interested parties can find a complete cost-effective solution for their automation tasks at RBTX.com.

Rapid robot integration with remote services is booming

At RBTX.com, interested parties have access to more than 300 individual robotic components from 78 manufacturers and more than 150 complete solutions from real-world applications – including hardware and software compatibility guarantees.

Additionally, online marketplaces offer a place for humans and robots to meet. In the Customer Testing Area, customers can work with RBTXpert at remote integrator services to test the feasibility of planned applications. RBTXpert engages in video calls from these environments with those interested in automation and provides individual advice.

“In Germany alone, we implement up to 30 projects per week. We also have customer testing areas on site in many other countries so that RBTXpert can offer support in multiple languages and time zones,” said Alexander Mühlens. “This gives more interested parties around the world direct access to cost-effective robotics.”
