Quantum Sandbox for Near-Term Applications Act Introduced in US House of Representatives


bipartisan Bill, Quantum Sandbox Act for Short Term Applications (HR 2739)introduced in the US Congress by representatives Jay Obernolte, Haley Stevens (D-MI), Randy Weber (R-TX) Richard Hudson will be an amendment The National Quantum Initiative Act to drive and accelerate the development of short-term quantum applications. It strives to have short-term use cases developed and deployed within 24 months. The bill asks the National Standards Institute to establish a public-private partnership for this quantum sandbox to speed up application development. So far no additional funding amount has been cited in the proposed bill.
