US and South Korea Sign Quantum Technology Cooperation Statement

[ad_1]

This statement is similar to those the US has made with the Netherlands, France, Denmark, the UK, Australia, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Japan and others. It calls for promoting joint research in quantum information science and technology (QIST), exchange of personnel, sharing QIST-related methodologies and data, and developing a workforce of a new generation of scientists and engineers. The statement also calls for discussion of important issues including standardization efforts and considerations of technology protection. For additional information, you can view the postings on the US Quantum.gov website Here and the full text of the agreement on the US Department of State website Here.
