At NPR’s All Things Considered, Sydney Lupkin asked DrugPatentWatch if drug patents could be used to identify injector pens which could then be exchanged to fix drug shortages.

Referring to Ozempic’s deficiency, a patient asked if a Norditropin pen could be used to deliver:

Perhaps Novo Nordisk, struggling to keep up with Ozempic’s soaring demand, diverts the plastic pen from Norditropin to use it for Ozempic.
