PRESS RELEASE — QMware and QuiX Quantum will collaborate to develop the first fully integrated hybrid quantum classic platform in Enschede, The Netherlands, where QuiX Quantum is headquartered. The hybrid architecture integrates high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure with native on-premises quantum computing technologies for the first time globally. The new data center is expected to be fully operational for commercial applications in August 2023.

QMware and QuiX Quantum will put hardware in place and integrate different computing paradigms (HPC and native quantum hardware) with shared memory access on high-performance computers under a unified Linux operating system. This new approach provides significant performance improvements and cost savings over existing commercial hybrid quantum services. Instead, vendors today require web integration on separate compute stacks to manage processing between quantum and classical hardware.

The hybrid architecture of QMware’s proprietary hardware and software platforms allows classical and native quantum hardware to be built and used side by side. For end customers, this unprecedented deep integration enables simultaneous access from both compute backends with exceptional performance and lowest latency. Quantum technology by QuiX Quantum is designed to support large computational models such as optimization and machine learning applications with millions of variables.

Quantum Quantum Computers based on photonics are perfect for data center integration as they operate at room temperature and provide scalable quantum technology. QMware will use low-latency broadband fiber-optic connections to directly interconnect high-performance computing infrastructure with native and simulated quantum hardware.
