Intel and Riken Team Up on Quantum Computing

As part of the overall agreement to work with KINGDOM, a major research institute in Japan focused on natural sciences, on Next Generation Computing including AI and high performance computing, Intel will also work closely with RIKEN on quantum computing. RIKEN will use the Intel Quantum SDK (see our recent article explaining the Intel Quantum SDK) as well as quantum chip testing. Apart from working with Intel, RIKEN is also working with Fujitsu to produce superconductor-based quantum computers with 64 qubits.
