Claire chats with Jacobs Engineering UK’s James Kell about civil infrastructure, nuclear robotics and jet engine inspections.
James Kel is Technical Director of Robotics at Jacobs Engineering UK. He is responsible for internal robotics technical strategy and is actively looking to apply Jacobs’ decades of robotics and remote handling experience to broader markets in other sectors. The overall goal is to extend the life of critical national infrastructure such as roads, rail and water. James previously worked for Rolls-Royce where his role was developing keyhole operating technology to service jet engines. James is also a member of the Robotics Growth Partnership, supported by BEIS.
