China Telecom to Establish China Telecom Quantum Information Technology Group Company with 3 Billion Yuan ($434M USD) Funding

The company will be located in the city of Hefei in Anhui province, China and will work to further develop the technology and promote its adoption. China Telecom has been working to develop quantum communication technology and has helped establish the five quantum communication standards, the quantum security service platform, and create the Hefei quantum secure communication metro network. Moreover, they have launched a 5G phone that supports quantum secure encryption which already has almost 500,000 users.
