TRUMPF Venture II Invests €1 Million ($1.1 Million USD) in HQS Quantum Simulations

TRUMPF effortventure capital arm of TRUMPF Groupa German industrial machinery manufacturing company, invested one million Euros HQS Quantum Simulation, a quantum software company, located in Karlsruhe, Germany. HQS Quantum Simulations was founded in 2017 as a spin-off from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and develops software to simulate quantum systems for modeling at the quantum level of materials and their molecular properties. HQS has a unique approach to this simulation. Instead of using a variational approach, their software architecture uses an open quantum mechanical system that interacts with its environment, also called a bathtub, and makes use of intrinsic errors as a resource. A press release provided by HQS announcing this investment is available on their website Here.
