SandboxAQ to Lead $8.3 Million Quantum Resistant Cryptography Project for US Defense Information Systems Agency
SandboxAQ will lead the project with partners Microsoft and Deloitte to provide US Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) with a quantum-resistant cryptographic solution prototype. SandboxAQ will provide it SandboxAQ Security Suite which includes agile quantum-resilient cryptographic modules while Microsoft will provide the DevSecOps platform and Deloitte will serve as a systems integrator and provide additional software and support for DISA. DISA’s mission is to provide a globally accessible and secure enterprise IT infrastructure to support joint military operations, national-level leaders, and other mission and coalition partners. So making sure their infrastructure is safe from quantum attacks is very important to them.
Microsoft and Deloitte have prior experience working with DISA. Also SandboxAQ and Microsoft have worked with NIST as part of a group engaged with the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (NCCoE). The $8.3 million award is awarded through a contractual structure known as OTA (Other Transaction Agreement) and SandboxAQ and partners were selected for the project after a three-stage selection process. They will implement their approach so that it can also be applied in the future to other organizations within the US government. SandboxAQ has posted a press release on their website announcing the availability of these awards Here.
